Welcome to Malice's website. We are a PvE oriented guild on the Scarlet Crusade server horde side hacking our way through end game content.
Malice is a raiding guild dedicated to helping players experience end game content in a manner that allows for real life. We understand that people have lives and jobs outside of the game and may actually want to see the sun shine once in a while. While we all look forward to progressing, we seek to balance the real world realities and our in game commitments to one another.
We want our raids to be successful while being fun. We also understand mistakes happen, but we learn from our mistakes and move on. We want to be able to provide that mix of debauchery and kicking butt. You know, one day you're in AQ20 and your tank is wearing only boots and pants, and the next minute he's leading the full charge to kill the next boss in Black Temple. Or you're making up awful rules for our silly old school runs and putting every misdirect you have on your surprise rogue tank and the next raid analyzing figures for how the raid performed well and what can be done better.
We understand that the World of Warcraft experience is a team experience, and we look for members wishing to be part of a team working towards a common goal. We have members with interests other than raiding, so it isn't uncommon to find our guildmates in BGs or Arenas.
Our recruitment needs are located on the left side of the website. If you have a question about whether we are accepting applications for your class, please ask. We are always interested in exceptional applicants we feel will fit in with our membership.
A majority of our members are Central and Eastern US time players, so our raid times reflect that. Our raiding schedule and information can be found with our Guild Policies housed on the left side of the website page.
What Makes Malice Different
I've been the guild leader of Malice since we formed in February 2007. I've often referred to us as "the little guild that could" because even when the odds were stacked against us, somehow we managed to make stuff work. We have worked for every boss kill, in our early days with less than optimal class representation (Eleven shaman, no problem!).
All guilds try to mix fun with whatever else their interests are. In this guild, our fun is a mix of goofiness, dorkiness, and just plain old perversion. We woo Lurker from the depths and conquer "for the bewbs". Our guild leader has a "noun problem" so strat explanations are often liberally dotted with words like "things," "that ouchie thing," and "you know." The scary part is how much the rest of Malice and our raiding friends outside of Malice do just "know." We boot people from the guild when their Noggenfogger runs out and reinvite them when they are a skeleton or little again.
We aim to find the right mix of serious and fun for a group that has limited time to raid but wants to raid right. And every day we work harder to make that mission possible.
That's what makes us Malice.
